Kidney Care

In our Nephrology unit we are treating all kinds of patient (ARF / CRF) and other diseases effecting Kidneys without renal failure. We have facility for Haemodialysis, Accute peritoneal Dialysis & Continues Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis. Over the period of three years we have given approximately Five Thousand Haemodialysis session. About Seventeen Patients have undergone renal transplants at SGPGI treated by us and approximately Twenty Five Patients has been put on CAPD.

Nephrology is a fantastic specialty which allows the physician to deal with a variety of problems. The kidneys are often involves in diseases which are primarily the remit of other specialties. The department offers services in the areas of hypertension, chronic kidney disease, dialysis, kidney transplantation and renal diseases. Patients (both children and adults) suffering from acute or chronic renal failure, hypertension, and systemic diseases involving kidneys are managed.

Our Nephrology Unit id being supported by Junior Residents, Trained Dialysis Technician, Nurses and most important ICCU with ventilator support. The increase number of patients of renal failure requiring dialysis for survival and the number of centre with such a good support system is very less, thus we are different from other centre. We promise to continue our endeavor to provide better and comfortable life to ailing patients from renal failure.
